Alice I. Allsbury, 98, Kansas City, Missouri, formerly of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Benton House of Tiffany Springs, surrounded by her loving family.
Alice was born on August 15, 1927, in St. Joseph, Missouri, to the late Lloyd and Genevieve (Schmelebeck) Bear. Alice married Nelson E. Allsbury on July 27, 1946. Together they celebrated 53 years of marriage until his passing on October 13, 1999.
Ms. Allsbury was a devoted wife and mother to their ten children.
In addition to her husband and parents, Alice was also preceded in death by their first born son Phillip Wayne (July 1947) and daughter Bonnie Allsbury.
Survivors include her sons Jerry (Deborah), Morris (Charlene), Donald (Grace), Phillip, Nelson (Yvonne) and James (Rochelle), as well as daughters Diana Wilson (Win), Alice Minor (Bruce) and Cindy Esposito (Phil). Alice has 19 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation is 10:30 am to noon, Saturday October 25, 2025 at Heaton-Bowman-Smith Sidenfaden Chapel in St. Joseph, Missouri. Graveside Service and Internment following at Mt. Mora Cemetery.
