This week, Governor Mike Parson addressed the flooding in south St. Joseph, saying the state is looking into how to help those affected.

"Unfortunately, it's kind of a caught-in-between area there, where there's not a lot of resources we can (utilize), but we're all aware of that, I know the federal side has been looked at, we're looking at it from the state side to see how we can help," Parson says. "It's going to come back down to those local authorities, it appears to be, but we're looking at it everyday trying to find out if there's a way we can find resources. So we're going to keep searching for answers for that because we know that's going to be a continuing problem."

The flooding in south St. Joseph in July damaged hundreds of homes.

Parson made his comments during a stop this week in Savannah at United Fiber.
