Judy Kay O’Gorman, 82, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Friday, September 26, 2025.
Judy was born in Kansas City, Kansas. She spent 45 years living in Nassau Bay, Texas, with my dad and brothers. We have the most beautiful memories spending summer breaks and Christmas with our family in Texas! Judy always treated me and my sisters as her own.
After my dad passed, she did her best to carry on. Judy loved to read and spend time with her grandchildren and her dog, Bently. She talked lovingly about caring for Lily Kate and Gracie when their parents worked. She loved taking them to Dollar General to pick out fun things to do.
Judy was blessed with 5 children, 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She also talked about all the great times she had with friends at the Tree House Bar and Grill and the amazing trip to Africa! Judy told me she was grateful to her brother, Leonard, for visiting her almost every day when she was in the hospital. She said he was her life-saver!
Judy was also grateful that Leonard had taken her to visit her sister before she passed. Reconnecting with family was a precious gift for Judy. I am thankful to my brother, Jeff, for taking excellent care of our parents for 4 years when they needed help the most! I’m also deeply grateful to Judy’s dear friend, Ann, for inviting her to live in her home after my dad passed.
Natural Farewell under the direction of Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
