ATCHISON COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 9a.m. Tuesday in Atchison County.
According to Police Chief Mike Wilson, a 2000 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Francis Wiltz, 74, Atchison, was eastbound on Commercial Street when it left the roadway at River Road and struck the Veteran’s Park pavilion.
It is believed the driver was suffering a medical episode that caused the accident. EMS transported Wiltz to Amberwell for treatment of injuries, according to Wilson.
