BUCHANAN COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just before 9:30 p.m. Thursday in Buchanan County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Chevy pickup driven by Joseph L. Ford, 20, St. Joseph, was northbound on Interstate 229 at the U.S. 71 interchange.
The pickup began to slide on the wet pavement. The vehicle traveled off the road, returned to the road and overturned.
A private vehicle transported Ford and a passenger Samantha L. Ownby, 19, Savannah. The MSHP did not report where they were transported. They were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
