Kellie L. Horton, 53, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Friday, March 8, 2024.
She was born July 23, 1970 in Kansas City, Missouri to Jack and Elain (Blehm) Anspaugh.
Kellie married Scott Travis Horton on May 22, 1993.
She was a registered nurse in the Nursery at Mosaic Life Care for 30 years.
Kellie was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
She loved running and ran several half-marathons, and also enjoyed camping with family and friends.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Kellie was also a fantastic cook. She loved hosting and cooking for all the family get-togethers, whether it was a holiday or a Chiefs party. Everything she made was wonderful.
Everyone who knew Kellie loved her and will cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Anspaugh; and brother, Miles Anspaugh.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Scott; children, Dane Allen Anspaugh, Aleigha Brook Horton and Cole Garrett Horton; grandchild, Maeson Taylor Christie; her mother, Elain Anspaugh; siblings, Clayton Blain Anspaugh and Shaun Lee Anspaugh; other extended family members and friends.
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 10:00 A.M. Friday, St. Paul Lutheran Church. Inurnment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
