A Platte County man has died after the car he was driving was struck by another vehicle and overturned.
It happened just after 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
The Platte County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash at the intersection of 92 Highway and Interurban Road.
Initial investigations show that a Lincoln sedan was struck by a Chevrolet pickup when the Lincoln entered 92 Highway from Interurban.
The Lincoln rolled over and came to rest on the north side of 92 Highway. The driver of the Lincoln, a 52-year-old man from Platte County died at the scene. The passenger of the Lincoln was transported to an area hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the pickup received minor injuries.
The driver of the Lincoln has not yet been identified. The crash remains under investigation.
