 </figure>ATCHISON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating an alleged altercation that sent a teen to the hospital with serious injuries and have made an arrest.On Monday, police were notified of an incident that had occurred on Sunday evening in the 1100 block North 7th Street in Atchison,according to Police Chief Mike Wilson. A group of young men were playing basketball when two of the men playing had an argument and one struck the other twice in the face with his fists causing injuries including a fractured bone and a broken tooth. The 18 year old victim was treated and released from a Kansas City hospital on Sunday night. Later Monday, police arrested 18-year-old Elijah Z. Haley of Atchison, on a requested charge of aggravated battery. He remains in the county jail, according to online jail records.
