Charles (Charley) David Kackley, 63, of Trimble, MO, passed away on Sunday August 17 at Belleview Care Center in St Joseph, Mo.
Charles (Charley) was born on November 14, 1961, in North Kansas City to Charles E. and Mildred (Kauffman) Kackley.
Charley attended Winnetoka High School and then attended trade school. Charley bought a home and settled in Trimble, MO.
Charley retired from Thoroughbred Ford after 21 years as a Sr. Body Technician. Prior to that, he worked for Good Times Auto Body and Northtowne Lincoln-Mercury Body Shop.
Charley loved football and played in the Midget League when he was young. Charley was an avid Chiefs and Royals fan. He enjoyed watching the games at the local establishment with friends. At times he was known to get a little vocal while cheering on his teams.
Charley enjoyed planting and growing things. He had a large vegetable garden and enjoyed sharing the fruits of his labor with his friends and family. Taking care of Mother Earth was important to him as he was dedicated to recycling. He had a kind heart for animals as he rescued many different ones over the years. Charley enjoyed hunting morels in the spring.
Charley loved riding his motorcycles. He enjoyed the many trips he took with friends and family to various destinations and rallies.
Charley is survived by his mother, Mildred Kackley, his 2 sisters, Sue Ellen Kackley and Rebecca Hickey and his significant other Cindy Smith. He was preceded in death by his brothers Michael Kackley (Ella) and Larry (Vicky) Kackley.
Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 p.m. with Memorial Services at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 26th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home in Smithville, MO. Donations may be made to Megan’s Paws and Claws.
