Elizabeth Ann Burton, age 90, of Easton, Missouri passed away peacefully on December 12th, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert ("Bob") H. Burton, Jr., daughter Mary Ellen Burton, her parents Phillip and Mary (Harrington) Carmichael and sister Mary Frances Crouse.
She is survived by her daughters Martha Burton of Colstrip, Montana and Katherine (Tim) Morris of Kansas City, Missouri; five grandchildren Bridget Morris, Tom (Ashley) Morris, John (Alicia) Morris, Brian (Kait) Morris, and Michael (Tracie) Morris and eleven great-grandchildren.
Ann was born on September 25th, 1934. She was a lifelong resident of Easton and graduated from Easton High School. Ann and Bob were married in April of 1953. She was an avid gardener and reader. Ann loved history and took many trips with Bob to see places that were of significance to their family's past. She had fond memories of their trip to Ireland. She loved her farm and wished to preserve it for future generations. For many years, she served as the Democratic Committeewoman of Tremont Township. Ann was a lifelong member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Easton, Missouri, and member of the Altar Society. Ann will be remembered by family for her warmth, wit, her ability to "cook for an army" every time her grandchildren would visit, making the best dinner rolls, continuous lists and fierce loyalty to her family.
Services will be held Friday, December 20th at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Easton, Missouri. Visitation and rosary will be at 10:00 A.M. followed by the funeral mass at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery at Easton, Missouri. Funeral luncheon will follow the service at the parish hall.
