The Kansas City Chiefs walked all over the Las Vegas Raiders in a 48-9 victory at Arrowhead Stadium Sunday.
The Chiefs took a 35-3 lead to halftime and were able to coast the rest of the game. Kansas City's defense forced five turnovers in the win, including a 23-yard fumble recovery touchdown by Mike Hughes on Las Vegas' first drive.
"You know, it's always good to get a fast start like that," Hughes said. "That was huge for our success today. We jumped on them quick, and I think that fueled everybody and got the team going, so it felt good."
Tyrann Mathieu had an interception and fumble recovery as well.
Offensively, Patrick Mahomes threw for 258 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Clyde Edwards-Helaire had two rushing touchdowns.
The Chiefs have now won their last six games. Kansas City will play at the Chargers on Thursday night. Kickoff is set for 7:20 p.m. central. The game will be carried on KFEQ Radio (680, 95.3) and Q Country 92.7 FM in St. Joseph.

The Missouri state football championship teams were honored by the Chiefs on the field during Sunday's game, including Class 1 champion East Buchanan, who defeated Marceline for the state title 21-7 on Dec. 4 in Columbia.
