Bonnie J. Reider, 88, of Platte City, MO, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Heritage Village of Platte City. Bonnie was born March 31, 1933 in Rome, Georgia to William and Ruth (Walraven) Wilson. She married James Albert Reider in Marietta, Georgia; and travelled extensively while he was serving in the military. Bonnie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Platte City since 1986. She enjoyed playing the organ, painting, and reading. Bonnie also was a collector of Precious Moments figurines.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband James; 2 daughters Wanda Ruth and Lillian Michelle; and 2 brothers and a sister. Bonnie is survived by her daughter Rose M. (Michael) Swanson of Lincoln, NE; her grandchildren Sharrla (Frank) Rodgers, Heath (Britney) Trotter, Holly (Rob) Sawyer, Heather (Braden) Hadfield, Samantha (Greg) Hall, Michelle Wade, Rachel Mohan, Emily Mohan, Elizabeth Libby, and Susan (Josh) Gibson; 15 great grandchildren; 4 great, great grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be held 12:00 p.m., Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Rollins Funeral Home in Platte City. Interment will follow at the Platte City Cemetery.
