Buchanan County Associate Circuit Judge Chad Gaddie sat in on a panel of the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District this week as the court convened in Kansas City.
Gaddie served as a panel member by special appointment from the Missouri Supreme Court.
Chief Judge Gary Witt and Judge Cynthia Martin from the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District sat on the panel with Gaddie.
“Judge Gaddie has such a strong reputation as a smart, dedicated, and thoughtful member of the judiciary, and we felt he was an excellent person to sit with us on this docket,” Chief Judge Witt said in a written statement released by the court. “His insight as a sitting trial judge into the issues before us was invaluable to our process. It was an honor to have Judge Gaddie sit with us today."
Gaddie earned his law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 1997. Gaddie was elected to serve as an associate circuit judge in the 5th Judicial Circuit of Buchanan County in 2022.
Prior to taking the bench, Gaddie practiced law throughout northwest Missouri. Gaddie also served as the county attorney for Buchanan County. Gaddie is a former president of the St. Joseph Bar Association and served on the Board of Governors for the Missouri Bar Association.
