A truck driver escaped serious injury early this (WED) morning when he got stuck at a railway crossing in south St. Joseph.
St. Joseph police report the truck driver attempted to cross the train track at the 11-Hundred block of Alabama when the railroad crossing safety arms came down as the train approached. The driver told police he attempted to back off the tracks, but traffic blocked him in. He did get the tractor off the tracks. The train hit the trailer and dragged it down the tracks.
The truck driver complained of only minor injuries.
