Atchison's Concert in the Sky, the annual fireworks show that caps off Amelia Earhart Festival, has been named one of the 10 Best Fireworks Shows in America by USA Today, its third straight honor from the national publication.
The Concert in the Sky hit number five in the rankings this year, beating out offerings from the likes of San Diego, Philadelphia, and Saint Louis. Atchison was one of only two on the top ten list that happens on a non-holiday.
It previously placed fourth last year, and third in 2024. The annual festival began in 1996.
In addition to the Saturday fireworks show, Amelia Earhart Festival also has a Friday night concert featuring BlackHawk and Lorrie Morgan.
USA Today gave Atchison some love earlier this year, when it named the Amelia Earhart Airport museum as the fifth best history museum.
