BUCHANAN COUNTY—Five people were injured in an accident just before 1:30p.m. Friday in Buchanan County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2018 International truck driven by Johnathan A. Nichols, 32, Liberty, TN., was southbound on Interstate 29 two miles south of Faucett.
The vehicle rear-ended a 2018 Nissan Rogue driven by Sharice L. Scott, 26, Kansas City, that was in the driving lane traveling at a slow rate of speed. After impact, the Nissan traveled off the road and struck a guardrail.
Buchanan County EMS transported Scott and an infant to Mosaic Life Care. Northland Regional transported a Janice D. Ross, 20, Kansas City, and two other children in the Nissan to Mosaic. Nichols was not injured. All were properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
