Jerry Max Hailey, 84, King City, MO passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at his home in King City, MO after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in King City to Lavern and Crystal (Giffin) Hailey on February 11, 1942.
Jerry married the love of his life Mildred “Midge” Dennis on April 9, 1966. To this union the couple were blessed with four children: Susan (Wayne) Alexander, Becky Hailey (Aaron), Shannon Hailey (Tarri), and Lori (Chris) Jackson; 23 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
Jerry’s hobbies included fishing with family and friends, watching westerns, MMA, and watching his grandchildren play sports. He was so proud of his family and he loved them deeply.
Jerry never knew a stranger, and he always showed love and compassion to all. He will be missed beyond measure. His cowboy boots can never be filled. Rest easy Dad, you’re cancer free and with Momma once again.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sister, Kay; brother, Paul; and stepmother, Betty.
In addition to his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, Jerry is survived by his sisters, Jan Phillippe and Patricia Hailey.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 28 at Roberson Funeral Home, King City, MO. Burial will follow in King City Cemetery, King City, MO. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the King City Senior Center in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O.
