Kenneth R. Martinez 79, of St. Joseph, MO, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph. He was born February 17, 1944 in St. Joseph, son of Betty and Abel Martinez Sr.
Kenny attended Lafayette High School. He was a member of the Teamsters-Local 460 Sheet Metal Workers Union, working as a Supervisor with Seaman-Schuske Metal Works. Kenny enjoyed taking care of others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother, Dennis Martinez, Sr., sister, Kathy Osborn, and brother, Michael Martinez.
Survivors include: wife of 62 years, Vella Ann Martinez of the home, children, Kenny (Monica) Martinez, Ronnie (Courtney) Martinez, Marty (Heidi) Martinez, Carlene Martinez, siblings, Abel (Diane) Martinez, Dickie (Glenda) Martinez, Candy (Roy) Beers all of St. Joseph, grandchildren, Mykayla, Tre, Karter, Myla, and She` Martinez, and 4 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Martinez has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home.
