The City of Saint Joseph is inviting residents to come out and meet members of St. Joseph Police, Fire Department, and other public safety groups during National Night Out, 5:30-8 PM Tuesday, August 4th, at Civic Center Park.
National Night Out is meant to strengthen relations between those public services and the people they serve, by turning out and communicating with the community.
Members of SJPD, SJFD, Buchanan County Sheriff's Office, Buchanan County EMS, Drug Strike Force, the Missouri Department of Conservation, DeKalb and Andrew County Sheriff, as well as Missouri Western Police will be there. In addition to the authorities, the groups St. Joseph Health & Safety Council, Youth Alliance, the Red Cross, St. Joseph Goats, Missouri American Water, and neighborhood watch groups will be out.
Saint Joseph Police will be showcasing drones, SWAT robots, rams, shields, and a Special Response armored vehicle.
Local band The Arsonists will perform, and hot dogs, chips, drinks, and treats will be provided. Inflatable fun for kids, and Police Chief Paul Luster will be in a dunk tank.
