Emmett William “Bill” Euler 1931 - 2024

Stewartsville, Missouri…Emmett William “Bill” Euler, age 92, was born August 17, 1931, in Blair, KS, to Emmett and Vera (Pfaffly) Euler, and passed away on May 22, 2024. 

Bill married Hazel Neff on April 25, 1953, in St. Joseph, Missouri.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Fred, Robert, and Jerry; sister, Rosalie; and granddaughter, Erin.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Hazel; sister, Donna; two sons, David (Marylou) and Richard (Kathleen); 7 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

He attended Highland Jr. College and Northwest Missouri State University, receiving a Master’s Degree in Education. He served in the Army from 1953 to 1956, one year in Korea. He worked in education until his retirement in 1987.

Bill and Hazel bought their first land in 1964 and moved to Stewartsville. After retirement he could just farm and serve the community.

Bill was a past commander of American Legion Post, Lions Club member, had served on the housing board and the fire district board, and was instrumental in getting rural water to his area.

He loved family, his dogs, and his cattle.  All three loved him also.  He was usually wearing a Northwest hat and bought bricks at NWMSU for all the family that attended the university.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Turner Family Funeral Home in Stewartsville. Burial with full military honors will follow immediately at Old School Presbyterian Cemetery
