NODAWAY COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 7p.m. Wednesday in Nodaway County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2022 Polaris 150 driven by a 10-year-old Guilford boy and a 2014 Chevy 1500 driven by a 56-year-old Mound City man were westbound on Route M at Mint Road one half miles east of Guilford. As both vehicles approached the intersection of Mint Road the pickup driver attempted to pass the ATV and the ATV driver attempted to make a left turn. The front of the ATV struck the passenger side of the pickup then struck the pickup's towed unit. After impact the ATV began to overturn and traveled into a ditch.
A private vehicle transported the boy to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph. The pickup driver was not injured. The MSHP no longer releases names of accident victims.
