Mildred L. Hoffman, 97, of Denton, KS, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Amberwell, Atchison, KS.

Mildred was born December 30, 1927, in Atchison County, KS, the daughter of Mathias and Wilhelmina (Watowa) Krier. She attended Mount Saint Scholastica Academy. Mildred was a homemaker and a farm wife. She was a member of St. Benedicts Catholic Church, Bendena, KS, and a member of the Women’s Council. Mildred enjoyed mushroom hunting, embroidery, her flower gardens and baking pies, bread, and making homemade potato chips.

Mildred married Melvin J. Hoffman on November 16, 1949, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Good Intent, he preceded her on October 29, 1993. She is survived by a son Robert (Rise) Hoffman, Denton, KS, two daughters, Karen (Ron) Dodge, Ozawkie, KS and Rebecca (Dick) Geiger, Everest, KS, eight grandchildren Jennifer (Doug) Brockhoff, Michael (Lori) Dodge, Chris (Amanda) Hoffman, Joe (Mary) Hoffman, Levi (Kateri) Flory, Eli Flory, Rick (Kelsie) Hoffman, and Diane (Kyle) Logan, and twenty great grandchildren.

She was also preceded by her parents, three brothers Albert, Francis (Sonny), and Robert Krier; and two sisters Anna Vollmer and Lucy Hibbs.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:30 PM on Friday, December 5, 2025, at St. Benedicts Catholic Church, Bendena, KS, with Fr. Mohan Bathineni and Fr. Roopesh Govindu as Concelebrants. Burial will follow at St. Benedicts Catholic Cemetery, Bendena, KS. Prior to the service a Parish Rosary will be recited at 1:30 PM with visitation following at the church. Memorials are suggested to Denton-Bendena Fire District #3 or St. Benedicts Women’s Council and may be sent in care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home.
