June Marie Rock 93, of St. Joseph, MO, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023 at a local assisted living facility. She was born June 19, 1930 in Dauphin, PA, daughter of Mary and Glen Myers. In 1948 she graduated from Dillsburg High School in Dillsburg, PA, and in 1952 she graduated from York Nursing School. She then moved to St. Joseph and began her Nursing career. In 1954 while working at St. Joseph Hospital, she met George Rock, who she later married in 1955. June worked at several St. Joseph Hospitals, retiring in 1984 after 32 years. She later worked for 10 years at Allison's School of Dance. June was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. June was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George Rock in 1984, and brothers, Tom and George Myers. Survivors include: sons, Brian (Catherine) Rock of Akron, OH, Randall (Sherri) Rock of St. Joseph, and Matt (Lorraine) Rock of St. Joseph, 5 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Private family services are scheduled with Entombment following at the Mt. Olivet Mausoleum.
