BUCHANAN COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just after 2:30p.m. Monday in Buchanan County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Chevy Malibu driven by a 30-year-old St. Joseph man was southbound on Interstate 29 in the St. Joseph city limits. The car rear-ended a 2014 Audi A4 driven by a 22-year-old Stanberry woman. After impact, the Chevy crossed the median and struck a northbound 2022 BMW X3 driven by a 53-year-old St. Joseph woman then struck the guardrail.
A private vehicle transported a 19-year-old female passenger in the Audi to Urgent Care in St. Joseph. Buchanan County EMS transported the driver of the Chevy to Mosaic Life Care. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases the names of accident victims.
