Helping men take a step towards early detection, the Mosaic Life Care Cancer Care Center will offer free prostate cancer screenings later this month for men 50 and older.&nbsp;

Prostate cancer affects one in eight men in the United States and remains a leading cause of cancer-related deaths among men.&nbsp; However, when detected early, prostate cancer is highly treatable, making screening an important part of preventive health care.&nbsp; Men age 50 and older are encouraged to participate in the free screening event, which includes a simple blood test used to identify potential signs of prostate cancer.&nbsp; Screenings will be available for two days at the Cancer Care Center.

Participants should check in at Mosaic Cancer Care, located at 902 N. Riverside Road in St. Joseph.&nbsp; Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins will be accepted while supplies last.&nbsp; Space is limited, and advance registration is encouraged.
