Marjorie Gail Wilson 95, of Saint Joseph, MO, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2023 in a Saint Joseph, MO hospital. She was born December 17, 1927 in Emmett, KS, daughter of the late Bernice and Matthew Rezac.
Marjorie earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in education from Emporia State Teachers College, and a Master of Science in Education from The Northwest Missouri State College in Maryville, MO. She married Adelbert “Del" Wilson on February 19, 1954 in Onaga, KS. Marjorie was a lifelong school teacher, retiring from Mid Buchanan School District and Doniphan County Special Services. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and embroidery. She crocheted many stocking caps for her grandson’s Marine platoon during their deployment in Afghanistan, and for the members of the 139th Aerial Port, prior to their deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. She loved children, making cookies for the neighborhood kids, spending time with her family, attending their sporting events, and traveling with her husband Del. Marjorie was a member of Missouri State Teachers Association, and the Jolly Workers Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Adelbert "Del" Lee Wilson, brothers, Clayton, Robert, and Don Rezac, sister, Rosalie Clymer, brothers-in-law, CA Boswell and Earl Clymer, and one great grandson, John Michael Griffin.
Survivors include children: Margo (Jess) McPhee, Stewartsville, MO, Wade (Phyllis) Wilson, Kincaid, KS, Gayle (David) Delaney, Gower, MO, Dane (Pam) Wilson, Jefferson City, MO, and Rhys (Kristina) Wilson, Savannah, MO, 14 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, sisters, Rheva Boswell and Linda (Bill) Price, and sisters-in-law, Virginia Rezac and Barbara Rezac.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, October 2 at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream; 10:00 am, Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at the Culbertson Chapel Methodist Church, Stewartsville, MO. The Interment will be at the Old School Presbyterian Cemetery, Stewartsville, MO.
