BUCHANAN COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 11:50 p.m. Monday in Buchanan County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2009 Toyota Corolla driven by Mfariji Mwenebatu, 24, Kansas City, MO., was southbound on Interstate 29 just north of Route DD.
The car rear-ended a 2016 Kenworth semi driven by Dennis M. Beaulieu, 48, Sioux Falls, SD, who was parked on the right shoulder and partially blocking the merge lane from I-29.
Buchanan County EMS transported Mwenebatu to Mosaic Life Care. Beaulieu was not injured. The MSHP had incomplete seatbelt usage information.
