Wayne Porchet, 88, born March 3, 1935, in Nebraska, passed away on January 22, 2024, in St. Joseph, MO. He honorably served his country in the United States Army and was known for his love for fishing and his regular presence at St. Peter Lutheran Church. Wayne's warm personality and fondness for shopping often brought joy to those around him.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his life mate, Carrol Hines; children, Wanda Ringot (Charlie), Robert Hines (Amanda), and Marcus Steidel (Betsy); grandchild, Joan Thomas (Wes); great-grandchildren, Tylee Johnson, Lanie Johnson, and John Thomas; and great-great-grandchild, Oakley. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Helen.
