Steven Glen Kilgore, 60 of Gower, MO passed away October 22, 2025.
He was born on November 4, 1964, to Arthur Glen and Jean (Raney) Kilgore in Kansas City, MO. Steve grew up in Gower and in 1983, he graduated from East Buchanan High School. He received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO.
On September 3, 1988, he was united in marriage to Vickie Christine Walker. After their marriage they lived in Kansas City and settled in Gower where they raised their family and made their home.
Steve built his career of 38 years working for Travelport. He enjoyed outdoor activities including hunting, camping, cooking, canoeing, golfing, skiing and attending KC Chiefs games. Steve loved being a husband and dad, most of all, he loved being a grandpa.
He was preceded in death by his dad Glen Kilgore.
Steve is survived by his wife Vickie Kilgore; his sons Aaron (Piper) Kilgore, Sean (Lauren) Kilgore and Ryan (Chloe) Kilgore; grandchildren Rhys, Anora, Baker, Delaney and Colter; his mother Jean (Ron) Cravens; his brothers Keith (Shanna) Kilgore and Kent Kilgore; his sister-in-law Tracy (Thomas) Greenwell; his father-in-law Lanny (Becky) Walker; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Private family burial will be held at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Kansas City, MO.Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 30th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home in Gower.
