A new Chipotle restaurant and a drive-thru coffee shop are planned for the former Golden Corral site along the Belt Highway in St. Joseph.

The restaurant at 715 N. Belt Highway was demolished Monday to make way for the development on the 1.8-acre property.

The property is owned by East Hills Properties and managed by Craig Realty Group. Company President and CEO Steve Craig confirmed the development Monday.
