Patricia F. Leavitt, 85, of Lenexa, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023 in Olathe Medical Center, Olathe, KS.
Patricia was born on November 8, 1937 in Leavenworth, KS to Bert and Florence (Mears) Moore. Patricia had six sisters: Mary, Shirley, Pauline, Jenny, Mabel, Berta.
She attended St. Paul Lutheran School.
In April 1955 she married John L. Leavitt Sr.
Patricia worked at Hallmark, and volunteered for many local organizations including Trinity House, Trinity Lutheran Church, and Leavenworth Historical Museum.
She was a lifelong Leavenworth native until she moved to Olathe and finally Lenexa after her husband's death to be closer to family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and quilting.
Patricia was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Patricia is survived by: a son, John L. Leavitt Jr. married to Connie of Olathe Kansas; a son Brian R. Leavitt partnered with Edward Hooker of Apopka Florida; a grandson, Matthew Leavitt married to Jessica of Andover Kansas; a grandson, Christopher Leavitt married to Abby of Hillsboro Oregon; a granddaughter, Kathryn Leavitt of Portland Oregon; a great grandson, Henry Leavitt of Hillsboro Oregon and a great granddaughter Eliza Leavitt of Hillsboro Oregon; a cousin, Arlene Mears of Leavenworth Kansas.
Memorials are designated to Trinity House (Food Bank) affiliated with Trinity Lutheran Church of Leavenworth Kansas.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday April 4, 2023, 4:00-6:00p at Trinity Lutheran Church, Leavenworth, KS. Patricia's funeral will take place on Wednesday April 5, 2023, 12:30p at Trinity Lutheran Church, Leavenworth with committal service following at Leavenworth National Cemetery at 1:30pm. Davis Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
