Betty Jean Oxford, 96, of St. Joseph, passed away February 21, 2023. Betty was born April 24, 1926 in St. Joseph to Ralph and Mary Scofield. .
She had worked in payroll for Global Union and Glaze Construction. She retired from Johnson Controls. Betty was a member of WIC - Women in Construction.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leo Oxford, son Richard D. Oxford, sister Maxine Roberts, two brothers Lowell and Ralph Scoffield.
Survivors include daughter Joyce Oxford of Lee's Summit, son Greg Oxford of Stockton, MO, three grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial will be Friday, February 24, 2023 at 10:00 am at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, February 24, 2023 from 9:00 am to 9:45 am at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.
