Colleen J Ellis, 92, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, passed on to eternal life on July 11, 2025 at her home with her children by her side.
She was born to Roy R Jolly and Grace Anderson Jolly in Owensboro, KY; and resided most of her adult life in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she was a loving mother and wife, and raised her two daughters who were the center of her life. Her faith and love for her family brought joy to all who were fortunate enough to share in her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald D Ellis. She is survived by her children, Susan L Ellis and Beth A Lawanson (Sammy); grandchildren, Treyger Lawanson, Samuel Lawanson III, and Arianna Lawanson; her sister Leora Dobbs, and many extended family members and close friends.
A family service will be held upon interment at Maple Grove Cemetery, Oregon, Missouri.
And God will raise you up on eagles’ wings, bear you on the breath of dawn, make you to shine like the sun, and hold you in the palm of His hand.
