Lewis Henry Wescott Jr., formerly of Sterling, IL passed peacefully at his residence in Platte City, MO on the evening of May 3rd, 2026 at the age of 74.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy, his sister, Lori, his three sons - Seth, Thad, and Tyler - and seven grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two of his three siblings.
A loving father and grandfather, Lew was an avid hobbyist and outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He lived his Catholic faith in the charism of the Order of Secular Franciscans and was an ardent promoter of the Miraculous Medal.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, 8 May at Twelve Apostles Catholic Church in Platte City, MO. A visitation will precede the service at 10:00 AM and rosary at 10:45 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family humbly requests charitable donations to Ducks Unlimited or National Audubon Society, two of Lew’s favorite charities.
