Nannetta Bishop, 86, of Smithville, MO passed away peacefully, May 1, 2026.
She was born on June 11, 1939 to Brooks and Hazel (Colley) Wilkerson in Smithville, MO. She grew up in Paradise, MO and graduated from Smithville High School.
Nannetta lived in Enid, Oklahoma for many years and later returned to Smithville.
She worked at Emery Berg Thayer and United Missouri Bank in Kansas City. While in Enid, OK she continued her education and received her seminary degree where she worked closely with a ministry and in Christian counseling.
Nannetta was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Gilbert Hughes and Larry Bishop; and great-grandson, Jay.
She is survived by her sons, Roger (Rhonda) Hughes and Randy Hughes; daughter-in-law, Evadna; step-daughter, Jennifer; grandchildren, Miranda (Jonathan), Patrick, Khrista (Alex), Connor (Emily), Chloie (Andrew), Ilam (Conner), Sawyer, Julie, Jonathan, and Jake; great-grandchildren, Kaden and Callum; other relatives and many friends.
