The St. Joseph Mustangs snapped a three-game losing skid with an 8-5 win at the Joplin Renegades Monday night.
St. Joseph native and Lafayette graduate Ike Book hit a two-run RBI double in the victory, as the Mustangs got their first road victory of the season and improve to 2-3 overall.
Mid-Buchanan alum Brady Holden also scored a key insurance run on a wild pitch in the top of the 9th.
The Mustangs have the next two days off before returning home on Thursday to face the Kansas City Monarchs. First pitch is set for 7 p.m.
