Cotillion of Achievement honors students from Andrew & Buchanan Counties

A student from East Buchanan High School and one from Benton High School won the Awards of Distinction during the Cotillion for Achievement Ball this past weekend.

The Cotillion announced Elizabeth Newell, who attends East Buchanan High School, and Gage Phroper, who attends Benton High School, won the top awards at the ball held at the St. Joseph Country Club.

The Cotillion honored 16 seniors from Andrew and Buchanan County high schools. Newell and Phroper were awarded $2,000 scholarships. The remaining 14 won $1,000 scholarships.

Cotillion participants waltzed with their parents after a formal dinner at the Country Club.
