Jason Douglas Wilhoit, 47 of St. Joseph, MO, passed away October 13, 2025. Jason was born in St. Joseph on April 12, 1978 to Doug and Dana Wilhoit.
He received a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Geology from Missouri Western State University. He worked for the St. Joseph Police Department from 1998 - 2013. He also served in the US Army and the US Air Force.
He married Wendy Mollus on July 31, 2019 and she survives of the home. Also surviving are sons Dominic and Austin Wilhoit; stepdaughter Halle Nagle; father Doug Wilhoit; brothers Josh Anderson, Aaron Wilhoit; sister Kristen Wilhoit; paternal grandmother Mary Hilton; aunt Terri Lowden, aunt Sherri Jones; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Jason was a member of Green Valley Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his children, watching movies with his sons; fishing, football and had faith and compassion for everyone.
Memorial contributions may be made to Green Valley Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 16, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel in St. Joseph, MO. Services will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
