Tammie L. Young, 64, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2025.
She was born October 21, 1960 in St. Joseph to John and Patricia (Leonardo) Martin.
Tammie loved bingo, flowers, and crocheting, and collected clowns and angels. She enjoyed time with her family, playing cards, watching old movies, singing karaoke, and music from the 1950s and 1960s.
She also was a die-hard Chiefs fan.
Tammie was preceded in death by her father; sister, Tina Martin; and brother, Scott Martin.
Survivors include her husband of 21 years, Robert; mother, Patricia Brinegar; sisters, Cindy Moore and Shelley Martin; brother, William Brinegar; daughter, Samantha Swearengin (Stoney); son, Jimmy Adair; stepchildren, Crystal Young and James Young; grandchildren, Cidney, Makenzee, Remy, Timothy, Raven, Kaylynn, Azalea, and Christopher,; great-grandchild, Kihgan; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Cremation under the direction of Simplify Cremations & Funerals. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Children’s Mercy Hospital.
