WORTH COUNTY—A Missouri woman died in an accident just before 4p.m. Tuesday in Worth County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Lincoln LS driven by Stacie R. Jenks, 50, Grant City, was westbound on Highway 46 just east of Briggs Street in Grant City.
The driver lost control of the vehicle. It crossed the center line and the driver overcorrected. The car traveled off the road and struck a tree.
Jenks was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Andrews Hann Funeral Home. She was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
