ATCHISON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas felon on new allegations after an arrest.
On Sunday, police arrested 57-year-old Tamara K. Mies of Atchison, according to Police Chief Mike Wilson.
She was jailed on Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear in court. In July of 2022 she was in jail for an alleged Kansas Department of Corrections Parole violation and for skipping court. In April of 2021 Mies was arrested on a requested burglary charge and in according to online jail records.
She has previous convictions for burglary and drug possession according to the Kansas Department of Corrections. Online jail records indicate she has been in custody in Atchison over a dozen times since 2001.
