ATCHISON COUNTY, Mo. —A juvenile was injured in an accident just before 8:30a.m. Sunday in Atchison County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2020 Chevy Equnox driven by a 47-year-old Bethany man was eastbound on U.S. 136 one mile east of Brownville, Nebraska, in heavy fog and smoke. The 2020 Equinox rear-ended a 2019 Chevy Equinox driven by a 42-year-old Beatrice, Nebraska, man who had slowed and stopped due to a separate vehicle crash.
Nemaha County Fire and Rescue transported a 3-year-old female passenger in the 2019 Equinox to Nemaha County Hospital. The drivers were not injured. All three were properly restrained, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
