ATCHISON COUNTY—A teen was injured in an accident just after 6p.m. Tuesday in Atchison.
According to Police Chief Mike Wilson, a pickup driven by Thad Jenkins, St. Joseph, was eastbound at U.S. 59 and 10th Street in Atchison.
The pickup entered the intersection on a green light when a southbound skateboard ridden by a 14-year-old boy entered the intersection and collided with the truck.
EMS transported the boy to a St. Joseph hospital, according to Wilson. Authorities released no additional details early Wednesday.
