St. Joseph health officials report just one new case of COVID-19 in Buchanan County Friday, the last report issued by the St. Joseph Health Department prior to the weekend.

There have been 25 new cases since last Monday, but no new coronavirus-related deaths for the last couple of weeks.

Mosaic Life Care also continues to report a minimal number of COVID-19 inpatients in its system and states on its website it will not report patient numbers unless they reach more than ten.

More than 17,200 people in Buchanan County have gotten at least one dose of the vaccine. More than 15,400 people have finished vaccination.

Still, just under 20% of Buchanan County’s population has been vaccinated, while over 50% of Missouri adults have had at least one dose.

Nearly 25% of Andrew County’s population has gotten their first dose. Roughly 1,800 Atchison County, Kansas residents have gotten their first dose as well.
