ATCHISON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas man with a history of crime on new allegations.
Just before noon Wednesday police arrested 44-year-old Nichlos W. Norton of Atchison for alleged theft that occurred in the 700 block Kansas Avenue, according to Police Chief Mike Wilson.
A 52-year-old victim reported the theft of a wallet while shopping in a business. The subsequent investigation identified Norton as the suspect.
In 2021, he was in custody for alleged possession of stolen property, a felony warrant and failure to appear, according to online jail records.
