Donna Mae Huff, 78, Winston, Missouri, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023.
She was born June 26, 1945 in Newfolden, Minnesota to Elmer and Minnie (Nelson) Amundson.
Donna married Kenney J. Huff, Jr. on December 18, 1965. He preceded her in death on June 6, 2020.
Donna loved her home. As a designer, both interior and exterior, she kept a beautiful house and spent countless hours tending to her flower gardens and mowing the lawn. She also loved to watch “The Virginian” on TV and watch birds, especially the Martins she waited for every year when they returned from Brazil to their home in Winston.
Family meant the world to Donna, and she loved spending time with the children and grandchildren. She loved to cook for her family, making birthday cakes for everyone, including for her son Shawn right up to his 48th birthday. When she received her cancer diagnosis in July 2023, she went home and made loaves of banana bread for everyone in the family so they’d have it for the holidays. She always wanted to make sure the family was taken care of.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Kenney; her son, Shannon Lee Huff; her parents; and her beloved dogs, Coco and Lady.
Survivors include her children, Chad Allen Huff, Lisa Shortino (John), and Shawn Huff; grandchildren, Brandi Huff and Krystal Youngs; great-grandchildren, Kloie Rouner, Peyton Rouner, and Charley Youngs; siblings, Elroy Amundson (Sharon), Bonnie Todd, and Jennifer Monson; and her beloved dog, Bookie.
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 1:00 P.M. Saturday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Inurnment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends one hour prior to the service.
