DAVIESS COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 5a.m. Saturday in Daviess County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2008 Mercury Mariner driven by 42-year-old Jimmy L. Stanhope of Gallatin was southbound on 202nd Street on and one half miles west of Jameson. The driver failed to stop at the stop sign at Route 00. The SUV continued off the south side of the road, struck a tree and the embankment.
Stanhope was arrested on requested charges of DWI and Carless and Imprudent driving involving an accident. Daviess County EMS transported him to Mosaic Life Care. He was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
