NODAWAY COUNTY—A northwest Missouri teen was injured in an accident just after noon Saturday in Nodaway County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Kawasaki ATV driven by a 13-year-old boy from Hopkins was southbound on Ivory Road at 185th Road one mile north of Pickering.
The ATV traveled off the road to avoid another vehicle. The driver was ejected from the ATV when it struck a barbed wire fence. The ATV and driver came to rest in a field west of Ivory Road.
Nodaway County EMS transported the teen to Mosaic in Maryville. He was not wearing a helmet, according to the MSHP.
