Mustangs split doubleheader at Chillicothe Monday

The St. Joseph Mustangs split a doubleheader at Chillicothe Monday, dropping the first game 8-5, but winning the second 9-4. Both games were seven innings in length.

Chillicothe won the first game, outhitting the Mustangs 11-6.

St. Joseph scored five runs in the fifth inning of the second game to pull away and earn a doubleheader split.

Bishop LeBlond alum William Dryburgh was 2-for-4 in the second game with two runs scored, an RBI and a double. Savannah alum Noah Bodenhausen also had a pair of hits in the victory.

The Mustangs were also error free in the field in the second game. St. Joseph stays on the road Tuesday to play Clarinda. First pitch is set for 7 p.m.
