A 43-year-old St. Joseph man suffered serious wounds in a stabbing early Thursday evening in the 1800 block of St. Joseph Avenue.
St. Joseph police report Kelley Steele underwent surgery at the local hospital.
A suspect, described as a heavily tattooed, muscular white man in his late 20s or early 30s, remains at large.
Police say Steele sought help at Peterman’s Shamrock Bar and then was taken to the hospital. The suspect fled the scene.
